Hospice at Home Volunteers
Hospice at Home volunteers are a critical part of our Hospice team. Volunteers provide visits of companionship for patients with life-limiting illnesses and respite for caregivers.
All Hospice At Home volunteers are provided with 20 hours of initial training, as well as monthly continuing education classes or self study.
Hospice At Home volunteers must be 21 years of age or older, pass a background check and undergo yearly TB screenings.
Community Wellness Volunteers
Volunteers with the Visiting Nurse Association are important parts of our Community Wellness and Senior Wellness clinics.
Volunteers assist community members with appointment setting, completing registration forms and taking payment for any needed services. Volunteers, age 18 and older, receive general orientation training and specific on-the-job training at the clinic site. Volunteers must pass a background check.

Patient Companion Volunteers
Volunteers within the Visiting Nurse Association Home Care program provide friendly visits to patients who are homebound due to illness or injury.
Patient Companion volunteers receive general orientation training and the opportunity to shadow our caregiving staff in the home. Volunteers, age 21 and older, must pass a background check and undergo annual TB testing.
