RETIREMENT PLAN

RETIREMENT PLAN

A mutual fund plan through The American Funds Group is currently in place for all employees who choose to set aside money for retirement. The plan is a 403(b) plan, which allows you to take money out of your paycheck on a pre-tax basis and have the earnings grow tax-deferred.  There is no waiting period for enrollment, and employees may sign up for this at any time.  Your contributions are immediately vested.

The Agency offers a 50% matching contribution to a defined cap.  There is a 1-year service requirement for the match with a 2-year vesting schedule.  Employee contributions are, however, always fully and immediately vested.  The match cap/amount is reviewed annually.  Currently the match is 50% of your contributions capped at 4% of pay.

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

Full-time and part-time benefited employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement upon completion of 1 year of service.  VNCC reimburses full-time employees up to $1,000 per year for tuition at a licensed / certified / credentialed / registered institution.  Half-time employees, (20 hours/week), are eligible for up to $500 per year.  Rates are pro-rated based on FTE for other part-time status.

This is a first come, first serve program.  To apply for tuition reimbursement, complete the Tuition Reimbursement Form, and return it to Human Resources with proof of payment and a copy of the course description.
